Mordheim Goes West

Howdy yall,

Was at wargames show last sat (crap - didnt buy anything)and saw basically a mordheim rule book for the wild west - any one seen it/played it.  Looked ok but I didnt feel like paying £20 for a book of new warband lists and rules for better guns as I have the original mordheim anyway.

We can make that stuff up anyway. We've been doing this for long enough.

Just so long as we don't let Bill decide any rules, as their only purpose would be to provide a loophole for abuse...

I thought I would up date this just in case anyone was ever going to be interested.  I have had chance to have a better look at the rule book and shock I was (gasp) wrong.  Although many of the posse creation and campaign rules are mordheim inspired its actual game engine is from the lord of the rings rules - and its got an awful lot of background info and history to help inspire budding refs and players.  I kind of think games like this and mordheim can bridge the gap between war gaming and roleplaying - you can just play them as a straight up fight or with a little effort get something a little deeper out of them.
