I would like to continue running the Derarkshire campaign following on from the field event we held in October.

Please sign up if interested - characters may be from Erewake events - redesigned or Old Derarkshire characters if theya re still around (please discuss with the gamesmaster if interested in one of these.)

For those of you with a slightly goldfish like memory the scenario is thus:

Derarkshire has been blighted with evil - Gethron and his son have been banished but their evil has soured the land.
Crops fail in the fields, strange maladies afflict man and beast alike and twisted shapes prowl through the forests. (Think a toned down version of AD&D ravenloft without the supremely powerful baddies holding their minions in check).

Th king has granted land and money to all those who will go to Derarkshire and repopulate and colonise it. Their are rumours of the evil in government but few in Cantorbridge put much store in the rumours, dismissing it merely as superstitious folklore.

One group of characters from the north has headed south to try and find the missing three swords of Wayland.

Others could arrive for a variety of reasons.

Here is a copy of the King's deed - decreeing land and wealth in Derarkshire.

Please feel free to download it and print it off and use as an in character prop.

Aging it with tea, coffee or brown paint will make it look more authentic (see how I teach my grandmother to suck eggs).

I am sure you can play as Candaris. I can't remember whether he came south or not but no reason why he shouldn't have.

No reason Jacob could not have joined Candaris on his journey south.

Chat it through with Tommy.

I am hoping to bring a couple of members of staff and maybe a couple of my children?
How does everyone feel on this.
I am hoping Gary will co-write this one with me so we can both play as welL.

Spoke to Gary last night and we are looking at running the next installment of Derarkshire on Thursday 20th March. 7.30p.m. till late (11 or later)

Price will be £2.00 each or just a £1.00 for first timers.

I will have a bar and food for sale but for this event feel free to bring your own if you wish.

If you have any worries about charcater design, type experience or plot give me a ring beforehand. (Chris on 01754 811125)

Here we go again - what is this passion for pain

THIS IS A ROLEPLAY EVENT

to which I may add I have 4 children (2 of which I teach) and assorted other new players.

There may be combat or there may not - but I WILL NOT have it spoiled by people who have been poorly briefed.

This may have been a witicism (perhaps not) and in the past most of the ones that you have brought have been fine.

Warning - no going off on one and frightening new people

I have my own magic item now the 12 bore of Wayland - inflicts fatals on random branders.

PLEASE NICK - BRIEF PEOPLE PROPERLY AND NO TESTOSTERONE

If you have trouble getting here try and use a bit of initiative and ask someone like Phil, Rob, Gary etc. up front.

Jane may even be getting a lift with soemone - ask her.

I cannot come out and get you before an event.

Have you briefed the new guys on plot (yes it is on the website at the start of this article, rules (all 3 books are on the site under rules and admin) and general codes of behaviour.

I assume you will have but in all the excitement....

"pain" was tongue in cheek. Yes I have been showing him the rule books. And finding a car with space for 4 of us might be tricky but we will figure somthing out.

my freind has a passion for sneaking about in the dark with a bow, is fanatical about wargaming and has been on about this event all week.
