Any chance of some pics to see how the sites going? I'm missing the smell of horse muck and clay, and unlikely to be fit for another 2 weeks.

Does that imply you were fit before?

I mean, given the fact that you weigh about 4 stone wet through, your muscles probably create quite a high power to weight ratio, however you just dont strike me as having even the slightest fitness, i'd try eating something, you never know you might push your weight up to 5 stone, and then who knows, you may even reach a skinny physique by the end of the year...

Did you cross the Pennines at 11, and the North York moors at 12? Was it you that did the Kirkston Pass in under 4 hours in 2000? (thats 17 miles) Did you complete and lead an 8 mile sprint? Have you hiked around Belgium in 32c heat? (although I was trying to escape, I hate the place) Were you top of the year for cross country? What grade life saving have you got? How many lengths can you do underwater? Whats your 100m sprint limit? Did you pass the Marines assault course at 7? Have you worked with the Army in a physical firing exercise? how much abseiling have you done?

Handle a few of those and you might get some respect. I bet some of the other guys could do much better. Why not a seperate thread of "hair raising ways to keep fit"

Just cos since now I'm fighting serious illness dont mean I wasnt fit. And I think Chris might comment on my capabilities on building. At least I'm prepared to make an effort.

f**k off back to your statistics. Its decent folks like Chong and Asamoth that make me bother.

Yeah, you tell 'im raised!! Sorry Phil but im with raised on this one, just because someones skinny doesn't mean they're unfit. Im about as skinny as they come so you wanna try atacking my level of fitness?

Its one of the reasons i prefer rp to living history - regardless of your size your safe and can have a go.

cheers for the support Chong! Man was I wound up, having spent years being bullyed cos of my size, despite being fitter than any of those assholes! imagine being hassled by Rugby types, after you have spent the summer in the Mountains, and your only 14!

Pennines, yes, however at 13. Scared of the North York Moors, i've heard they have glowing sheep... Ill let you have the Kickston Pass... Have you completed a Marathon in under 4 hours? I didnt bother with Belgium as, well... Who would want to? though i do see your point about trying to escape... No, wasnt top of the year for cross country, however was 2nd in the Region for Air Cadets. Dont really see the relevance of Life-saving as to fitness. Cant swim underwater, can comfortably cover 2 miles on the top of it though. My 100m personal best is 13.89secs. The Marines wouldnt allow you around their assault course at 7, however our Air Cadet team won the Wing field day assault course at RAF Cranwell (yes, the place that officers are trained), I have worked with the Army and RAF in several blank and live fire excercises including 3 day bushcraft and rural survival excercises. I did quite a bit of Rock Climbing and Abseiling until i was around 14, at which some point the person controlling my bilet (or however it is spelt) allowed me to fall 30feet and as you can imagine i wasnt all that keen afterwards.

Please dont make the mistake of thinking you are the only person who reads this that has completed some strenuous physical tasks. Im sure Gary could fill you in on a few of his hill walking and mountain climbing weekends away with Chris, given the trouble i know Gary has with his knee i think that's pretty commendable.

Oh and as to your contribution to the building work at Chris', i know he fully appreciates your efforts, however you seem to be talking to me about it as if I havent been there helping plan and build the place, lifting chunks of rock out of the lake etc...

I have to say Phil - that that was a cheap shot not worth the bother (you know like running over grannies in deathrace 2000)... and whilst Nick may not be the fittest of male specimens I feel the need to ramble about proverbs, pots, kettles and the colour known as  sable in heraldry.

For example - have either of you run a sub 4hr 45 marathon (yes that's 26 miles ), or a sub 7hr marathon in a 3 stone suit of armour. Have you ever crossed sharp edge in a force 10, taken out a guy who claimed to be a black belt in 3 martial arts with nothing more than a bowl of fruit punch, after 12 pints, or in fact done any thing requiring fitness whilst being 4 stone overweight.

I mean given the fact I weigh 15 stone in an anti-grav chamber, have no muscles whatsoever, and have never in any way shape or form given anyone any belief that I am even vaguely fit- then I would try and eat nothing for 4 years develop a fatal case of dysentry and scurvy I might just fall into the category of fat bastard by the end of the year.

So saying I could still run you both into the ground (without a range rover being driven by chavs with well oiled bodies), kill you both as soon as farting at you and generally embarass you both in the fitness stakes.

So shut up or else I might drag my huge lard ass up on to my high horse and have to reply... Oh God I have

I'm impressed if you have a sub 4 hour marathon Phil - I bow to your great stamina - I would then have to run you down over long distance rather than these little middle distance events.

How far do you reckon you could walk before you fell... non stop

I wonder of you'd fancy a wee weekend somewhere in the summer...

Chris

I bet you never were so desperate to see a girlfriend that you got yourself bundled (with bike) into the back of a friend's tranny van driven to Sheffield where you then cycled to Leeds - spent the day performing all sorts of unimaginably pleasurable experiences before setting off back to Skegness and arriving there before midnight after notching up 168 miles on said bikeometer.

Fitness excluded sanity needs to be questioned - I will probably beat you all on lack off both.

SO shut it now or else...

What falls in the etc bit mate?

Going round quoting " I love work I could watch it all day"

lifting 2 bricks and then try to get us all in for a game of Mordheim

wearing Armani suits and then complaining that

a) the dogs jumped on me

B) I've farted

c) a whiff of mud almost got on my £700 townie T shirt

d) all of the above

thanks for the back up folks, like I said that was no boast about my own meagre exploits. Just a "what has everyone else been up too?"

I'm raring to go again give it a week and I will be up to scratch. I was wondering about building a fortified watchtower and if we could have acrack at it, it would bei deal on the gatepost.
