Halloween Horror
« on: September 06, 2008, 05:33:01 PM »
This year our halloween horror will be held on Saturday 25th? October from 7.00 - till late - very late.
I hate to say an all nighter after last year when an ex IRA hitman blew the werewolf away at about 3am but ... the general plan is

No pre generated characters this year unless you specifically request one.

The event is modern day - it is a feast set at a restored viking settlement somewhere in East Anglia.
It is one of those events that generally raises money for museums and English Heritage and brings out a strange gathering of people.
Choose a character that would fit in at such an event and come and play.
As it is a feast - there will be a feast - the charge of £15 will reflect this - there will be drink as well but if anyone is planning a serious skinful bring your own.

Well you don't have to play someone of your age (how old are you anyway?) but you could always be a student who has wrangled free tickets for helping some ageing proffesser out, or a scam artist who shouldnt really be there? Or someone with rich indulgent parents etc.  Possibilities endless my friend.

I'm 16 but that has made me start to think now! Just at first I couldn't really think why someone my age could have much to do with vikings  ^_^. But I think I have an idea now. Mite send you a private message if you dont mind to help me expand on it a little. Cheers!

If there is enough interest I might be pushed to two a year - Beltayn has its possibilities.

How would you spell it? Beltane - Beltain - Beltine, Beltayn - I have heard them all used depending on source, translation, historical perspective

are we talking original translation (or attempted lingual reconstruction) of the celtic , or a romano/latin version or modern forms used by scholars since the Victorian period or american author translations...

you know what it's like
