Plans for 2009
« on: January 12, 2009, 11:55:42 AM »
Ok - not 100% yet on my plans but my thought is this.

House of Erasmus - when and where - hopefully one before the end of February.

Derarkshire - Wolf Plot will continue but not through fortnightly tavern nights. I will try and do about 6 all day events through the year for Derark plot.

Tavern nights will switch to Galamash - will give me a chance to develop Galamash.
Will also do quite a few linears through the year.

My thoughts are this - players will design 2 characters - one an adventurer (fully statted ruleswise without a huge background being too necessary originally - perhaps around 800 points),  the other a villager, local etc. (like Derarkshire) but not particlulary statted ruleswise (but well detailed in terms of actual character).
You can interchange between characters at any point but I will try and run the tavern nights without rules or calls where possible (see heroic melee etc.) to encourage roleplaying.
You can STAT your second character to play on linears if you wish ... and also play your big character freeform in tavern nights if you so wish but as a basic guideline...
The big characters will generally be mercenary adventurers (at least to start with), and these will need to be designed first as I intend to start with a few linears on Saturday or Sunday afternoons from around the middle of February.
More when I know more..

Galamash - think sort of Hammer House of Horror Transylvania with a medieval setting.

There is no centralised authority - no king, emperor anything like that - it is ruled by old noble families who vie for as much land and territory as they can control.

Much of the land is cold, mountainous, mist enshrouded coniferous forest with a few bogs and areas of farmland thrown in for good measure. There are few good roads, villages are very isolated and locals tend not to travel very far (particularly after dark).
This is traditionally the land of vampires, ghouls and werewolves but how much is truth and how much the folklore of superstitious peasants - who can tell?
