I couldnt care less about parents, in over a decade of entertaining kids I know the kids dont give a sod about "and heres a serf shovelling manure" or "look at this poor bitch cooking soup over an open fire" its the death and gore they lap up. Some kids are sensitive, I know, and you cant go full hog, its down to common sense and your age range.

Obviously you have to be careful how you present it, but story telling works.

Besides a scrap with the RPers would be totally detached, in that we could monster and leave it to Chris what happens, my exhibit or whatever is with my own team.

I was considering a Dark age wrestling match, with Dwarves, Orcs etc it would be really funny?

Im sorry nick i seem to have totally missed the part where you said you are doing it under a different name on a different day, maybe its my eyes... or maybe its my mindreading skills failing me.... owned

Points taken Darklord, as usual! But when your mates the organiser, who is part of the performance...

Alec, its a long story, she flounced off in a typical female strop over things that had nothing to do with the project, and it was decided reluctantly to remove her from duties. Subsequently 3 months later we are still picking up the mess such as paperwork and recasting all the actors that were cast without my consent (who were, every one of them, useless)

She was supposed to be resigning but didnt bother so we dropped her. I abstained from voting it was 5-0 to remove her asap, subsequently I lost a supposed freind.

If its your mate who is organising the carnival then good luck to you - if he/she is happy with what you are doing then thats up to them - just a personal bit though - if you are doing "wrestling" displays try and make it clear its bugger all to do with lrp - or just dont bring lrp elements into it at all - we dont need the confusion.

I'm not really decided and its a group thing but we will have our own banner. We will use LRP weapons for safety reasons. I'm just toying with ideas right now - think huge and scale down as allways.

Bill drill will probably go down Ok and the kids can take part, simply the handling. (reminds me of handling an AK47 - when I was 7 it seemed so light, and setting an Israeli missile launcher tracking after a biplane at Cottesmore - I loved it)

you dont half talk some bollocks sometimes.

Hmmm again we are arguing over silly things that wont happen, cant we stick to the point.
Which is... Umm well as i grasped, something to entertain? cant we put people in a stock and pelt them with rancid fruit?? That would entertain me!
Seriously re-enact battle thingies, im happy to do most things so throw some ideas in that work. though bare chest knife fights would be fun!!

Elmyra, you do not want to see most of the guys with bare chests, the sight is not pretty, but you are right, awful lot of bollocks being talked, lets face it most people cannot be bothered to actually turn up to an event if it involves any effort on their part - why should they go help someone else?

WOW People started talking sense instead of bickering, WOW that is a novelty. In the past I know the Skeggy larpers have taken part in things, because I was one of them :P Now it is more problematic as it involves a lot more traveling and stuff. Elmyra has a point, throwing fruit (or wet sponges) would appeal to a lot of people as does people being dressed in odd costumes and just walking about, it makes things look like something is happening.

On a totally different note, please can we avoid personal attacks here, and solve things with knife fights or something instead?
Ooo look a new PBM!

no personal attacks intended, honest, but you have to admit some of the stuff above is well very... lets just leave it at very,
i was only adding my little umm peice, stocks sponges funny costumes can work well, the simplist possibility is probably the best! its up to you all to decide, but really, make it fun, and something the "normals" will get :P
